The commissioning of Plant No. 2 will not only increase Automech’s production capacity for mechanical components, automotive parts, motorcycle parts, electric vehicle components, and household appliance components, but also contribute to the localization goals of the manufacturing industry. Building on its component manufacturing capabilities, Automech aims to gradually drive the integrated development of related sectors, including mold and die manufacturing, jigs and fixtures, product design, machine building, automation, and technical services supporting industrial production.
Plant No. 2 Inauguration Ceremony
FROM PLANT NO. 1 TO THE AMBITION OF EXPANDING MANUFACTURING CAPACITY
Before investing in Plant No. 2, Automech had spent many years operating in the field of supplying mechanical equipment, engineering solutions, automation systems, and production lines to industrial enterprises across Vietnam.
Throughout its collaboration with customers, Automech recognized the growing urgency of establishing a domestic supply of high-quality components, mechanical parts, and assemblies manufactured in Vietnam. Particularly in the automotive, motorcycle, electric vehicle, household appliance, and supporting industries, securing a reliable domestic supply not only helps shorten delivery times and optimize costs, but also increases localization rates and reduces dependence on imported components.
In response to these practical needs, Automech gradually transitioned from being a supplier of equipment and engineering solutions to directly engaging in manufacturing. In 2023, Automech’s Plant No. 1, located in Dinh Tram Industrial Park, Bac Ninh Province, officially commenced operations, marking a significant turning point in the company’s development.
Equipped with modern machinery and a team of experienced engineers, Plant No. 1 progressively established its capabilities in mold and die manufacturing, jig and fixture production, automated machinery, mechanical assemblies, and components serving the automotive, motorcycle, and supporting industries.
After nearly three years of operation, Plant No. 1 has not only strengthened Automech’s in-house manufacturing capabilities but also laid the foundation for the company to participate in numerous large-scale projects for customers such as VinFast, Kim Long Motor – Hue, SYV, Korean FDI enterprises, and numerous partners in industrial manufacturing. These achievements have provided an important foundation for Automech to progressively establish itself as a Vietnamese mechanical engineering company within the modern manufacturing supply chain.

DRIVING FORCES BEHIND THE ESTABLISHMENT OF PLANT NO. 2
The success of Plant No. 1, combined with growing market demand for expanded manufacturing capacity and Automech’s ambition to capitalize on more opportunities for component localization, has become a key driving force behind the company’s continued investment in Plant No. 2.
Beyond market factors, the Vietnamese Government’s policies to promote private-sector development, support manufacturing enterprises, and advance supporting industries have also provided an important foundation for domestic mechanical engineering companies to confidently invest in deeper manufacturing capabilities. The cooperation and support of local authorities throughout the project implementation process have further facilitated Automech’s investment progress, enabling the company to accelerate construction and bring the plant into operation at an early stage.
According to a representative of Automech’s management board: “Plant No. 2 is not merely an expansion of our manufacturing scale; it is also a strategic step toward strengthening our supply capabilities, increasing the localization rate of mechanical components, and preparing to participate more deeply in the global supply chain in the years ahead.”

A Company Representative Shares Remarks at the Plant No. 2 Inauguration Ceremony
Construction of Plant No. 2 commenced in late 2025, and the facility was completed and brought into operation after approximately eight months of construction. Throughout the implementation process, the project was closely monitored to ensure compliance with the construction schedule, construction quality standards, occupational safety requirements, fire prevention and firefighting regulations, and applicable technical standards.
Completing the facility within such a short timeframe not only demonstrates Automech’s strong commitment to investment but also highlights the company’s capabilities in project organization, management, and execution.

Construction and Completion of Plant No. 2
STRATEGIC INVESTMENT IN SUPPORTING INDUSTRIES MANUFACTURING
Plant No. 2 is envisioned as a manufacturing hub for stamped parts, metal components, and assemblies serving the automotive, motorcycle, electric vehicle, household appliance, and supporting industries.
The plant’s main manufacturing operations include:
-
Sheet metal stamping using equipment from Yadon
-
Component processing and assembly using spot welding stations and automated MIG/MAG welding stations
-
Manufacturing of automotive, motorcycle, and electric vehicle parts
-
Manufacturing of household appliance components
-
Production of mechanical assemblies for supporting industries
Beyond investing in machinery and production lines, Automech places strong emphasis on establishing a comprehensive quality management system, standardized operating procedures, production control standards, and a professional working environment. These are essential to meeting the increasingly stringent requirements of domestic customers, foreign-invested enterprises (FDI), and international manufacturing corporations.
In particular, developing domestic component manufacturing capabilities goes beyond simply producing finished products. Behind every mechanical component lies an entire industrial ecosystem encompassing product design, mold design, mold and die manufacturing, precision machining, machine building, automation, quality inspection, and production management. This is precisely the value chain that Automech is progressively developing and mastering.

PROMOTING THE LOCALIZATION OF MECHANICAL COMPONENTS AND DOMESTIC SUPPLY CHAINS
As Vietnam becomes an increasingly important destination for global manufacturing corporations, developing a domestic supplier ecosystem has become more critical than ever. To participate more deeply in the supply chain, Vietnamese enterprises must not only possess manufacturing capabilities but also meet requirements for quality, delivery schedules, cost efficiency, management, and continuous improvement.
Beyond expanding its own manufacturing capacity, Automech aspires to become one of the pioneering enterprises connecting and promoting the development of Vietnam’s mechanical engineering, mold and die manufacturing, machine building, and supporting industries.
Through investments in manufacturing facilities, technology, management systems, and technical capabilities, Automech aims to support Vietnamese enterprises in strengthening their manufacturing capabilities, improving product quality, and meeting the standards of domestic and international customers. These efforts are expected to contribute to higher localization rates and greater competitiveness across Vietnam’s supply chains.
Automech believes that localizing mechanical components cannot be achieved by a single enterprise alone. It requires the participation of an entire ecosystem encompassing manufacturers, mold and die specialists, design firms, equipment manufacturers, material suppliers, and technology partners. Within this ecosystem, Automech aspires to play an active role by sharing expertise, expanding collaboration opportunities, and fostering the sustainable development of domestic manufacturing capabilities.
This is the direction Automech continues to pursue: going beyond component manufacturing to progressively develop comprehensive capabilities together with ecosystem partners, spanning product design, mold and die manufacturing, equipment fabrication, production organization, and quality control. This approach enables enterprises to increase added value while making a practical contribution to the development of Vietnam’s supporting industries.
TOWARD GLOBAL SUPPLY CHAINS
The commissioning of Plant No. 2 strengthens Automech’s order fulfillment capacity, enhances production autonomy, and expands opportunities for collaboration with foreign-invested enterprises (FDI), major domestic manufacturers, and global industrial corporations investing in Vietnam.
In the coming years, Automech will continue investing in technology, developing its technical workforce, strengthening production management capabilities, and enhancing its quality management systems to meet international standards. The company aims to progressively integrate Made in Vietnam supporting industry products more deeply into regional and global supply chains.
The inauguration of Plant No. 2 marks not only the completion of a new manufacturing facility but also an important milestone in Automech’s development journey. It represents the progress of a Vietnamese mechanical engineering company steadily establishing its position through manufacturing capabilities, technology, a commitment to innovation, and the ambition to reach global markets.
With Plant No. 2, Automech is laying another important foundation for its long-term goal: contributing to a stronger, more self-reliant, and more competitive Vietnamese supporting industry ecosystem within global supply chains.
